Charlotte Torah Center's Explanatory High Holiday Services!

`

The Charlotte Torah Center, will be offering explanatory Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services to the Charlotte Jewish community at large, especially for those who are without synagogue affiliation.

The alternative service is a unique prayer experience. It has been designed to aid those for whom prayer is a new experience or for those who want to delve deeper into the meaning of the various prayers. Before the participants actually say a particular prayer there will be explanation and discussion relating to the major concepts and ideas that are to be expressed through that prayer. Like all skills, to be able to pray in a way that is personally relevant and uplifting, one needs to first lay a foundation and build from there. The alternative service is an opportunity to lay that foundation of understanding so essential to prayer.

All prayers and traditions will be led and explained by Rabbi Chanoch Oppenheim. Evening services will begin at 7:15 pm. Morning services will begin at 9:00am followed by kiddush on both days Rosh Hashana. At the conclusion of Yom Kippur, there will be a break-fast.

Please join the Oppenheim family at the Charlotte Torah Center for a delicious dinner following Rosh Hashana evening services. Click here for more information and to register.
