Nishei Charlotte - The Women's Division of the Charlotte Torah Center

Nishei Charlotte, the women's division of the Charlotte Torah Center is dedicated to providing educational and social opportunities to women of all backgrounds as a means of enhancing the understanding and appreciation of the value of women's roles and mitzvos. As Jewish Women we share questions, interests and issues that are unique to us. NIshei Charlotte provides an array of opportunities for women looking for answers, encouragement, and information to find any of these and much, much more. Some of our most popular programs are those that involve an opportunity to learn more about an aspect of Judaism while having a good time! Nishei Charlotte is a special opportunity for women from across the Jewish spectrum to come together in a warm and open atmosphere, to grow together in our Judaism, and to appreciate the bond we all share as Jewish women.

We offer weekly group classes on most any topic of choice. Our current Jewish Feminine Mystique Class is taught by Rebetzin Sara Oppenheim. This class is held at the CTC every Tuesday morning from 9:20 -10:20am and every Tuesday evening from 7:30 - 8:30pm. A monthly Jewish Book Club is starting soon with our first pick, "Miriam's Kitchen" - a Memoir. "Miriam's Kitchen" is a mix of recipes and memories. We witness the author's personal journey from ambivalent Jew to a woman who observes tradition and teaches her children about their ethnic heritage, date TBA.

Nishei Charlotte also hosts monthly Rosh Chodesh events. Rosh Chodesh is the celebration of the beginning of each Jewish month. Traditionally this has been a women's holiday and as such, with the custom of doing no work, it makes for a perfect opportunity to get together and celebrate our lives as Jewish women. Come learn about how we merited this holiday, while you take a holiday of your own at the Charlotte Torah Center's - Nishei Charlotte's, Secrets of the Spas event. In this first of our monthly series, treat yourself to a facial and delicious spa cuisine while you discover the luxurious treatments that can be made in minutes from ingredients in your pantry!
