Shabbat Learner's Service
Charlotte Torah Center Introduces the Shabbat Learner's Service!
The Charlotte Torah Center is pleased to announce an upgrade in our Shabbot morning Learner’s Service. We are temporarily discontinuing our Learner’s service and, YES, this is actually something positive. Although externally this seems to be decline in our growth, further thought reveals that it is actually an act of building. A number of people have expressed the desire to upgrade our learner’s service to a traditional shule minyan. We’re not ready to do this every week but gathering once a month seems to be something people can commit to. The frequency of the minyan--once a month-- is not set in stone and we look forward to meeting twice monthly and eventually weekly as the desire increases. This new Minyan will be a hybrid of a synagogue and learner’s service so that Jews from all backgrounds will feel comfortable and have an opportunity to be educated, enriched and take pleasure in participating. Both novice and pro “daveners” can pray, bond, and learn in the same service. This should be a welcome enhancement to the already friendly and inquisitive atmosphere that have become hallmarks everything the Charlotte Torah Center does.
Our first minyan will be on March 6, 2010 at 9:00 am; a large and festive meal will follow. We look forward to seeing you there.
