Tuesday December 2 at 8 p.m. at the CTC
Torah for Teens: One Nation, One Land from Creation to Current Events.
This group focuses on Torah discussions based on the needs and questions of our teens. Sorry, no parents allowed! No charge for the class, but donations are always needed and welcomed.

Tuesday December 2 at 8 p.m. at the CTC
CJWI – Women’s Learning Group – Classes are open to all Jewish women. No membership and no affiliation required.
Topic: KEEPING THE FLAME ALIVE: Roomates or soul mates? How can the Torah command us to love?  The art of love. In these classes we will talk about marriage, communication, sex, family purity, different needs of men and women and a whole class devoted to Q&A. This series is lead by our own genuine and inspiring educator and counselor, Sara Oppenheim.

Wednesday December 3 at 8 p.m. at the CTC
Mesilas Yesharim: The Path of the Just class
This interactive class is given weekly on Wednesday evenings.  Rabbi Oppenheim provides in depth analysis of one of the most classic Jewish works on character development and self awareness written by the 18th century Italian Kabbalist and philosopher, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzatto. All classes are free of charge but donations are always welcomed to help sustain the Charlotte Torah Center.

Weekly Parsha Class: This class focuses on gaining more insight and knowledge about the weekly Torah portion. Rabbi Benyamin Levin will give a deeper looks at what is happening behind the scenes that will enlighten and inspire attendees. No affiliation or member ship required. No charge for classes, but donations appreciated.

Saturday December 6 at 10:30 a.m. At the CTC
Unique 72 minute Saturday morning Shabbat Learner’s Service: The CTC provides an opportunity to learn how to participate in a Saturday morning Shabbat service in a supportive, welcoming and interactive environment. This short service is open to everyone who is interested in learning more about the prayers and the Torah portion of the week.  Kiddush immediately following the service.

JWRP Alumni Reunion and Social: We’ll make homemade Chanukah cookies to donate to Jewish Family Services and learn about the miracles of Chanukah while we work. We’ll create new memories and share fond stories from our Israel trip. RSVP to Sara@charlottetorahcenter.com Cost is $18 and a portion of that donation will pay it forward for others to go to Israel on a future trip. Snacks will be served.

72 Minute Shabbat Learner’s Service and Torah Time for Tots!
While the adults are in the 72 minute learners service, children are invited for a special Shabbat service, story time, song and activities with Morah Jayme Kreitman on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Most appropriate for ages 2-6, but others wishing to participate are invited as well.

Family Fun Chanukah Days at the CTC! Pre-Chanukah bash for friends and families of the CTC. Expert Storyteller Debby Block will share her magic with children of all ages. Special children’s activities include making an edible menorah, decorating Chanukah cookies and more! Enjoy the latke bar with friends and vie for the Title of Top Latke Chef in one of several categories. Cost is $18 per person and $36 per family. RSVP to sara@charlottetorahcenter.com

Monday December 15 at 7 p.m. at the CTC
Chanukah class: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Finding Yourself During the Eight Days of Chanukah. Rabbi Oppenheim will lead this interactive class on the meaning of Chanukah. Dinner served. $5 charge for this class.

Tuesday December 16 at 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at Northwestern Mutual
Lunch and Learn for Jewish Professionals
Join Rabbi Oppenheim in Southpark for a stimulating weekday exploration of important Jewish topics. Meet other Jewish professionals and enjoy a kosher lunch (included).
